Remember all the men and women who fought for us. Our lives would be much different without their sacrifices. They deserve this day. And more.
A lot of people thought we would be closed today. On the contrary, we were open and completely slammed. Apparently, memorial day is a long weekend for most folks. We always have Sunday and Monday off, so this is just another weekend for us. The only difference is that a ton of our clients needed to be properly groomed for this momentous weekend, so yours truly was making people pretty for nine hours today! Heck, we were jamming all week! I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys all of our hard work and dedication, because the staff at Mark & M.E. had a blast working on you. Happy red, white and blue everyone!
Let the #memorial day madness continue @marknme today! We open at 7:30!!
If a wax technician advises you to shave, then she doesn’t understand the science behind waxing or the beauty and benefits of waxing on a regular basis. Besides, shaving is a four letter word in my book.
A woman came to the salon yesterday for a Brazilian who I hadn’t seen in a few months. Right off the bat, she warned me that her situation was like a science experiment. I can’t say that I felt like a scientist when I waxed her, but I definitely felt like a surgeon. Or maybe a magician?
When I wrote a chapter entitled “What’s that Smell?” in The Happy Hoo-Ha, I was very specific about some of the unpleasantness I have encountered in my career. When I recently came across someone who looked like they finger painted their backside with chocolate colored paint, I realize that the person must not have read my book. The crazy thing is that I still love my job!
Is it silly to admit that I do a little pump fist every time I sell any one of my books?
