One woman told me A Promise of Passion turned her on. Another told me it was porn. I like hearing the feedback. Give me more!
Hose Down Your Hoo-Ha
Thoughts, stories, and insights from M.E. Nesser
Summer is approaching and it is time to start making your plan to acquire that adorable sphinx cat on a regular basis once again. It’s a super busy time at Mark & M.E. so it would be a good idea to plan ahead or you may not be able to get in when you want. Also, Mark and I will be out of the salon from June 7-16 which will make things even more complicated. So have that conversation with your kitty and let me know your plan. I promise to make you meow after a few minutes of hissing.
After a short hiatus, I am back and ready to rip! First person has already come and gone from the salon with a big smile and a bald… God, I love my job!
I have a beautiful, open-minded and young spirited mom in her mid-eighties. In many respects, I am very much like her. This is why I was surprised by her reaction to A Promise of Passion She thought my new book could be used to teach young lovers about sex. She actually told me that it was very…educational. She also thought it was more detailed than she expected. My question to you is can there be too much detail when you’re reading about people having sex?
I woke up at one in the morning sweating profusely. At first, I blamed it on hot flashes. After an hour and a half of discomfort (that’s the polite description of what I was feeling), I realized the air conditioner wasn’t working. The electricity went out in the entire complex and it has been really hot and muggy in the Keys all week. Fortunately, my husband called the electric company in the middle of the night and reported the outage. The power was restored as the sun came up and I decided that going for a swim would cool me off and loosen up my 51 aching parts. I walked down to the pool and the scariest bolt of lightening splashed into the water on a sandbar that is right off our complex. It’s amazing how quickly those 51 parts ran up two flights of stairs. Now, I’m back inside where it’s safe after a cool shower and some deep breaths. As I sit in my mom’s recliner and stare at the ocean, I’m able to watch the lightening and listen to the thunder and ponder the events of the past few hours. It has been an interesting way to start my day. I’ve decided that these are all signs that this is going to be an exciting year! m.e. nesser
On this last day of my half century mark, I’m feeling reflective about my age. How am I different from ten years ago or even twenty years ago? My face is more lined, but I laugh a lot, so I’m okay with my lines. My kids are older, which makes me sad sometimes, but they’re amazing adults, so I feel like we did a good job and it makes me feel proud. I’ve been married almost three decades, which may seem like forever to most, but it’s not nearly long enough for me. I haven’t had my fill of Mark quite yet. I have a bizarre waxing career that I love and the ability to write books just for fun. So as I stare at the ocean with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, I realize that my emotions are all good and I am blessed. Happy hump day!
Woohoo, another review of A Promise of Passion on Amazon. Thank you, thank you to whoever you are!!! “A great story! I couldn’t wait to find out what happened after reading the introduction. Excited for the next book!”
Remember when you finally got the nerve to advance to the next base with the one you were convinced was your first love? For my couple in A Promise of Passion, the worst thing ever happened as the boy was nearing third base. I wonder what it was…
Believe it or not, I have a lot to say. And I even have a lot to say about things that aren’t vagina related. OK, that’s not entirely true. Check out my article in this month’s Rochester Woman Magazine.
