This was the ad that we put in this month’s issue of the Rochester Woman Magazine. Hair, skin, nails, lashes, waxing….yep, we do it all!

Love when I have happy fans on the other side of the country!

If you read A Promise of Passion and enjoyed any part of it, please consider writing a review on Amazon. It means a lot to me!

I went to East High School to talk to kids about choosing Cosmetology as a profession. I couldn’t help but notice these signs everywhere. I wondered if the kids in this part of the city haven’t heard of the “between the cheeks” wax at Mark & M.E.

Summer is not time to be friends with Sasquatch. I will be out of the salon May 17-20 and June 7-16, so please plan your bushwhacking rendezvous accordingly.

I’m a happy girl who writes happy books, but when we have two no-shows and two last minute cancellations in the last hour of the day, I’m having a hard time turning my frown upside-down. Not only did these appointments waste our time, they inconvenienced all the appointments that we told we couldn’t accommodate between 5-6 today. I accept that last minute cancellations are unavoidable, but no-shows are inexcusable. We had a total of 5 no-shows in the past two days. This kind of behavior makes it difficult to run a business. OK, I’m done bitching. I’ll be funny again next time.

Some of you may remember your mother telling you it was always important to have on clean underwear in case you were involved in an accident. I believe it is more important to be “clean” beneath your undergarments. Let me give you an example why. I had a client who was procrastinating about coming in for a wax. Suddenly, she had terrible stomach pains. She was rushed to the hospital and admitted for four days before they decided to remove her appendix. One of the incisions was in her pubic area, so they were forced to shave part of it. When she got home, the rest of it was terribly long and she couldn’t come in while she was recovering, so she trimmed the rest. When I saw the area, it was irritated from the razor and she complained that all of it itched from the trim and the shave. Yes, I believe in always being prepared.

When I read a love story, I like knowing how both characters are feeling. That is why I alternated between the boy and the girl’s point of view in A Promise of Passion. There is quite a bit of explicit sex in the book and someone suggested taking turns reading the chapters with your mate. It could make for some interesting foreplay. If you try it, please let me know how it goes. (And be specific as possible!)

Look down and ask yourself…should I get a wax this week? Or can I stretch it to next week? If you want me to wax you, then this week is where it’s at, because I will not be working May 16-19. Since I  will be making the leap to a half century plus one, I decided that I shouldn’t work on my special day. Please remember that I have two very capable wax princesses who will be working next week and will take very good care of your bits.  But if you’re shy about who sees your hoo-ha, then please let me know when you want to come in as soon as possible, because the week is filling up fast.

Just a reminder that yours truly will be on The Brother Wease Show (95.1)  talking about
A Promise of Passion at 10 this morning! Feel free to call in if you anything to say about the book, or about anything amusing and hoo-ha-ish…  585-222-9500
