Many people have questioned my decision to enter the world of writing fiction. For all of my new followers out there, you may not know that I wasn’t always in the beauty industry. Prior to working with Mark, I was an elementary school teacher. Yes, it is hard to believe! I had a much more “G” rated vocabulary back then. I changed careers to work with my husband, and I have never looked back. I like to tell people that I used to teach first grade and now I make women look like first graders all day long. So, now that you know waxing wasn’t my first career, it shouldn’t surprise you that I have expanded my energies into the writing world. I loved the writing courses I took in school, and it has been a blast putting my storytelling into words. Now, I just have to hope someone likes what I have to say.

Attention: Sex fiends and avid smut readers… A Promise of Passion is the first book in a series that I am working on. If you think you’d enjoy reading about a couple who have a ton of sex, then I’d love for you to check out the book and let me know what you think. I’m really looking forward to getting your feedback on Katie and Bryce’s love story (and love making, for that matter!) Your feedback will help me make the subsequent books even better. Thank you!

This is what Amazon wrote about A Promise of Passion.
They say you never forget your first kiss, your first touch—your first time making love. Katie knows she never will.
A Promise of Passion follows the love affair of Katie Donovan and Bryce Collins, a budding high school romance destined to last a lifetime. Throughout the challenges of college, a long-distance relationship, and the rigors of careers, their flame only burns brighter. To Katie, Bryce will always be her “walking Adonis.” And for his part, Bryce has been enthralled by Katie since their high school physics class. Theirs is the storybook romance that everyone dreams of.
But if that’s the case, where’s Bryce now? Katie struggles with this question as she sits alone in a bar drinking a gin and tonic with an olive—their favorite drink. They always kept their promise, a vow to keep passion alive no matter what. Why would he break it now?

It’s here!! Stop by and pick up your copy at the Mark & M.E. Salon!

People seem so surprised that I wrote another book. You need to understand that when I’m not at the salon, doing housework, bookwork, cooking, or working out, I like to write. Watching tv and knitting are not my thing. Instead of meditating, I like to tell stories. Whether they are true stories, like I wrote in The Happy Hoo-Ha Trilogy, or a made up one, like my recent novel, I find it very enjoyable to write. I guess you could say writing is my hobby. And if I can entertain someone along the way, all the better.

I want you to remember your first kiss, that first touch, and, most importantly, the first time you make love. Check out “A Promise of Passion” by m.e. nesser. Only on Amazon.

26 years ago today, this very special man was in a horrific accident that ultimately lead to his passing. He taught me to be honest, confident, strong and happy. I wouldn’t be M.E. if I hadn’t had all of his support and guidance. Appreciate the people in your life that are important to you, because they can disappear in an instance.

If you read The Happy Trail, you will remember how fondly I reminisced about my days doing nails. Today I was on the elliptical when I opened my Facebook page. I saw that a woman, who I did her nails for nearly 20 years, had died. She had moved to Florida, but we still played Words With Friends every day. We talked regularly and she was family to me. In fact, we played only four days ago. When I saw she died, I burst into tears. I saw my nail clients every two weeks and they were a big part of my life. My daughter even remembered who Vann was. I’m blown away by how sad I feel about her passing. I guess it is just another reminder how amazing my profession is. I love my clients and it feels like I really lost a friend. RIP Vann.
