I just came across this review about The Happy Hoo-Ha on Amazon from this year. I’m not sure which son the person was talking about, but it made me feel really good.
I met this author’s son on a plane ride to Rochester a few years back and we got to talking. We ended up chatting about books we were reading and he proudly told me about his family, and ended up telling me about his mother and this book. The name of the book stuck with me (so catchy) and I had been dying to read it. I’m happy that I finally got around to it. This book is both entertaining and insightful. M.E.’s open mindedness and acceptance of every client regardless of what they disclose to her is refreshing. Her insight and often funny stories about her client’s lives make this a great read.”

If you look closely at our amazing Olympians, you’ll notice that most of them have very little or no body  hair. I wish someone would have hired me to wax them all. It would have been such an honor and such a blast!

A woman called RGE from our parking lot at 9:30. She had an appointment with me at 9:45. I saw her sitting there and had her follow me upstairs. I told her she could stay on the phone while I gave her a Brazilian. I finished waxing her at 9:53. That is when the phone call ended. Who would have thought a Brazilian Bikini Wax would be quicker than being on the phone with the electric company?

Want to surprise your man the next time you come to see me for a Brazilian? Do what one of my ladies did the other day. She sent him of picture of Mark & M.E.!

I had two heroes growing up: Gilligan from Gilligan’s Island and Fonzi from Happy Days. Gilligan was funny. Fonzi was confident. I am a funny girl who is confident in my waxing abilities. Strange how things work out.

Lucky 13th review of A Promise of Passion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!
“Feeling emotions (i.e., happiness, sadness) while reading is a testimony to a “good read.” The characters became real to me. Not only did I feel emotions reading this, I also related this to my own life experiences. Thanks M.E. for a fantastic read, for my laughter and my tears, and for giving me the opportunity to appreciate my own life experiences. I’ll be waiting for the next installment!”

I learn new expressions all of the time in the wax room. Yesterday, I was having a condom discussion with one of my ladies. She agreed that condoms were a must and she had a mantra that she adhered too that I had never heard of before. “No glove, No love.” Perfect.

Someone asked me what me favorite day was. As long as I can remember, I have always liked Tuesday the best. She said most people like Saturday or Sunday, because it’s a day to sleep in. I’ve never been a big sleeper. It always seemed like a waste of time. She couldn’t understand why anyone would like Tuesday. Probably because it’s the start of my work week and being at work is fun. I love the clients. I love the work. Every day feels like I’m hanging out with friends. Yep, Brazilians have made me very happy.

Hoo-Ha’s, Hoo-Hangs, Hineys and Hemorrhoids…all the things that make me happy in my professional life.

When a new client gives you a hug after you’ve temporarily hurt their hoo-ha, you know it’s a good day!
