Although I may have used this silly meme before, it is relevant because this happened to me again this week. After I finished giving a woman a Brazilian Wax, she hopped off the table, walked over to my mirror, turned around and squatted down to look between her legs so she could make sure there was no hair between her cheeks. I’m happy to say she was completely hair free!
36 years ago today, Mark asked me to marry him. Although it was April 1st, it wasn’t an April fool’s prank. It was for real. I never knew anything about the beauty business before I met him. My mom used to perm my hair and I got $5 haircuts at Cut n Curl. I would never have gotten into this business if I hadn’t met Mark. I found the person and profession of my dreams and have had an amazing thirty six years. Today is definitely a cause for celebration!
Did you ever really look at our Mark & M.E. logo? We had a local artist draw this up for us. Her name was Karen Tomascelli and she actually had a couple model for it. Originally the man had his right knee wrapped around her left thigh, but it looked too naughty so I had her remove his leg. (yes, I thought it looked naughty!😂) My concept was to have a naked man and woman encased in her long hair, which would represent that we were a unisex hair salon. Now that I look at it closely, I realize the couple doesn’t have any body hair. When this was drawn, I had just started waxing and wasn’t as obsessed with hair removal as I am now. It really is perfect!
Imagine this scenario:
You come in to the salon with an overgrown bush in search of a silky smooth bikini area that is delectable and completely hair free. The technician puts wax on your mound that is so dense the warm extra sensitive product barely reaches the skin. As this same technician goes to put the strip on the wax, YOU CLOSE YOUR LEGS!!! Not only is this a terrible idea, you might as well glued your v-j-jay shut.
My ancestry said I was European. Now it all makes sense why I am so addicted to Brazilian Waxing!
