One of my male clients comes in for a Brazilian every five weeks. Last month money was tight so he went quite a bit longer than usual. He definitely noticed that it was more painful since he waited. After I pulled one of the strips he yelled,
“Oh my…”
“Mistress?” I said.
“Bitch,” and then he burst out laughing.
It was not the first time I was called that and it won’t be the last. It was all in good fun and he rebooked for 5 weeks.
Attention all grumpy people out there: It is our policy to get your credit card in order to hold your appointment. It is something we have been doing for several years. We were forced to implement this policy because so many people were not showing up for their appointments. It is NOT our policy to use your card to buy Sephora Makeup or a Coach Hand Bag. So PLEASE be nice to our receptionist. They are just doing their job and trying to make everyone accountable so we minimize our no-show rate.

Yesterday I was cashing out at a store and had my Wax It All sweatshirt on. The cashier said that she just celebrated her 60th birthday and her friend offered to get her a Brazilian.
The woman was appalled and said, “I thought you liked me and we were friends? Why would you do that to me?”
Her friend is a regular client of ours and told her a Brazilian at Wax It All was quick and painless and that getting waxed was way better than shaving. That didn’t convince this woman.
After she expressed her horror in getting such a service done, I said “We have numbing products if you’re worried about the pain.”
“Tequila?” she asked.
Just a friendly reminder that Mark & M.E. and Wax It All have extended their 4th of July festivities for an extra day and will be opening back up tomorrow Wednesday July 5th. Not sure the staff is sorry to be closed since they rarely get 3 day weekends, but it’s okay because they will raring to go tomorrow!

Wow, it must have been a tough year for teachers because I’ve waxed a ton of teachers this past week and they are beyond thrilled for summer to be here!
